Advertising on Charlotte Vibes

Charlotte Vibes may receive compensation from businesses, brands, restaurants, hotels, venues, event organizers, attractions, service providers, agencies, sponsors, or other organizations in exchange for advertising or promotional services.

Advertising arrangements may differ depending on the advertiser, campaign, placement, audience, duration, content format, distribution method, and other agreed terms. Charlotte Vibes does not necessarily offer the same advertising package or pricing structure to every advertiser.

Acceptance of advertising is subject to Charlotte Vibes' discretion. We may decline, discontinue, remove, or refuse an advertising relationship when we determine that the advertiser, advertisement, product, service, claim, or campaign is not appropriate for Charlotte Vibes or its audience.

Types of Commercial Content

Commercial relationships may appear in different formats across Charlotte Vibes. Depending on the arrangement, these may include:

• Display or website advertising.
• Sponsored articles or sponsored features.
• Business promotional campaigns.
• Sponsored social media posts or videos.
• Event promotion or sponsored event coverage.
• Brand partnerships and promotional collaborations.
• Sponsored guides, placements, or content integrations.
• Paid photography, video, or content-production services.
• Other clearly identified commercial or promotional arrangements.

The availability of a particular format may change over time. A commercial relationship may also involve multiple forms of content or distribution when that is agreed upon by Charlotte Vibes and the advertiser.

Identifying Advertising

Charlotte Vibes intends to identify advertising and sponsored content when disclosure is necessary so that a reasonable reader can understand the commercial nature of the content. The precise wording and placement of a disclosure may depend on the format, platform, relationship, and circumstances.

Commercial content may use labels or statements such as "Advertisement," "Sponsored," "Sponsored Content," "Paid Partnership," "Paid Promotion," or other language that clearly communicates the existence of a commercial relationship. Charlotte Vibes may use different wording when another clear and understandable disclosure is better suited to the content.

A disclosure should not be intentionally hidden, placed where readers are unlikely to notice it, or written in a manner designed to obscure the fact that content is commercial. Where a commercial disclosure is needed, our intention is to present it in a manner reasonably connected to the advertising or sponsored content it describes.

Sponsored and Native Content

Some paid content may use a format similar to Charlotte Vibes articles, guides, videos, business features, or other editorial material. This type of advertising is sometimes referred to as sponsored, branded, or native content.

When paid content could reasonably be mistaken for independent editorial material, Charlotte Vibes intends to identify its commercial nature clearly. The fact that sponsored content uses the visual design, writing format, photography, or video style of Charlotte Vibes does not make it independent editorial content.

Where appropriate, a disclosure may appear near the headline, beginning of the content, image, video, social post, or another location where readers or viewers are reasonably likely to notice it before or while receiving the promotional message.

Social Media and Video Advertising

Charlotte Vibes may create or distribute sponsored content on social media, video platforms, or other third-party services. This may include posts, reels, short-form videos, stories, long-form videos, photographs, captions, live content, or other promotional formats.

When Charlotte Vibes has a material commercial relationship connected with an endorsement or promotional message, we intend to disclose that relationship in a manner appropriate to the platform and content. The disclosure may appear in the content itself, accompanying text, a platform-provided paid partnership tool, or a combination of those methods when appropriate.

Platform-generated labels do not prevent Charlotte Vibes from using additional disclosure language when additional context is reasonably necessary to make the commercial relationship clear.

Paid Promotion and Editorial Coverage

Paid promotional content and independent editorial coverage are not necessarily the same thing. A business can advertise with Charlotte Vibes without purchasing control over unrelated editorial decisions concerning that business.

Charlotte Vibes retains discretion over independent news, reviews, recommendations, guides, commentary, rankings, and other editorial content. Purchasing advertising does not automatically entitle an advertiser to favorable independent editorial coverage, the removal of unfavorable editorial content, or control over future editorial decisions.

Likewise, the appearance of a business in independent editorial content does not necessarily mean that the business paid Charlotte Vibes. Restaurants, businesses, events, hotels, attractions, and other subjects may be covered because we determine they are relevant to Charlotte readers.

Advertising and Reviews

Charlotte Vibes publishes reviews and accepts requests from Charlotte-area businesses that would like us to consider experiencing their restaurant, product, service, venue, attraction, hotel, transportation service, or other business. A review request is not automatically the same as purchasing advertising.

If Charlotte Vibes accepts payment specifically for commercial promotional content, that commercial relationship should be identified appropriately. Payment for an advertisement or sponsored promotion does not purchase the right to present a paid promotional message as an independent review when doing so would be misleading.

Charlotte Vibes does not agree to fabricate experiences, publish fake testimonials, or condition an independent honest review on expressing a predetermined positive or negative sentiment. Sponsored promotional content may emphasize an advertiser's products or services, but its commercial nature should be disclosed when appropriate.

Complimentary Products and Hosted Experiences

Charlotte Vibes may sometimes receive complimentary food, products, services, tickets, admission, hotel stays, hosted experiences, samples, or other benefits from businesses or organizations. A complimentary experience may create a material relationship even when no direct advertising payment is made.

Where that relationship is relevant to the credibility of an endorsement, recommendation, review, or other coverage, Charlotte Vibes intends to disclose the connection appropriately. Receiving something complimentary does not guarantee favorable coverage.

Charlotte Vibes may also attend media previews, press events, grand openings, tastings, launches, or similar events where attendance or access is provided without charge. Whether a specific disclosure is appropriate depends on the nature of the relationship and resulting content.

Advertiser Claims and Responsibilities

Advertisers are expected to provide accurate information about their businesses, products, services, prices, offers, promotions, events, qualifications, availability, and other claims supplied for use in advertising. Advertisers should have an appropriate basis for factual claims they ask Charlotte Vibes to communicate.

Charlotte Vibes may request changes, clarification, supporting information, or substantiation before accepting or continuing an advertisement. We may reject or remove advertising that we believe could be false, deceptive, unlawful, unsafe, infringing, inappropriate, or otherwise inconsistent with our standards.

An advertiser's responsibility for information it supplies does not eliminate any independent obligations that may apply to Charlotte Vibes or Reignpoint Media, LLC under applicable law.

No Guarantee of Advertising Results

Advertising and promotional services can increase exposure, but Charlotte Vibes does not guarantee a particular number of sales, reservations, customers, leads, views, clicks, followers, impressions, conversions, revenue, or other business result unless a specific written agreement expressly states otherwise.

Advertising performance can depend on numerous factors, including the advertiser's offer, pricing, reputation, timing, audience demand, creative materials, location, availability, competition, and factors outside the control of Charlotte Vibes.

Any campaign-specific deliverables, placement commitments, timelines, or other obligations agreed to by Charlotte Vibes and an advertiser should be governed by the applicable written proposal, agreement, invoice, insertion order, or other transaction-specific terms.

Advertiser Approval and Content Control

For paid advertising or sponsored promotional content, Charlotte Vibes and an advertiser may agree on messaging, creative assets, factual information, campaign objectives, approval procedures, or other commercial requirements. Those arrangements may vary by project.

Advertiser participation in the creation or approval of sponsored content is another reason the content may differ from independent editorial coverage. Where necessary, the commercial nature of that content should be identified for readers.

Advertisers do not receive general authority over unrelated Charlotte Vibes content merely because they have purchased advertising or sponsored a particular campaign.

Third-Party Advertising Services

Charlotte Vibes may use third-party advertising networks, technology providers, analytics services, campaign-management tools, social platforms, or other services to display, deliver, measure, or manage advertising.

Those providers may operate under their own contracts, technologies, policies, and data practices. Depending on the services used, advertising technology may use cookies, identifiers, pixels, tags, or similar methods to deliver or measure advertising.

The technologies and providers used by Charlotte Vibes may change over time. Information about the collection and use of personal information associated with website technologies is addressed separately in our applicable privacy practices.

Advertisers Are Independent Businesses

Unless expressly stated otherwise, businesses advertising on Charlotte Vibes are independent third parties. The appearance of an advertisement does not mean Reignpoint Media, LLC owns, operates, manages, employs, licenses, insures, or controls the advertiser.

Advertisers remain responsible for their own businesses, products, services, transactions, customer service, fulfillment, pricing, warranties, refunds, reservations, bookings, safety, and legal obligations.

Readers should make their own decisions before purchasing from, booking with, visiting, hiring, or otherwise doing business with an advertiser.

Transactions With Advertisers

Clicking an advertisement may take a reader to a website, application, social media profile, booking platform, ticket service, store, restaurant, hotel, or another destination operated by an independent third party.

Unless Charlotte Vibes expressly states that Reignpoint Media, LLC is the seller or service provider, purchases, reservations, bookings, registrations, and other transactions are completed with the applicable third party. The third party's prices, policies, terms, payment procedures, cancellation rules, and customer-service practices apply.

Advertising and Affiliate Relationships

Advertising and affiliate relationships are both potential sources of revenue for Charlotte Vibes, but they do not necessarily operate the same way. Traditional advertising may involve payment for a defined placement, campaign, sponsored feature, or promotional service.

Affiliate or referral arrangements commonly involve compensation when a reader completes a qualifying transaction or other action through a particular link or service. A piece of content may involve advertising, an affiliate relationship, both, or neither depending on the circumstances.

Editorial Independence

Charlotte Vibes intends to maintain a meaningful distinction between independent editorial judgment and paid promotional content. Advertisers may purchase advertising opportunities, but an advertising relationship does not automatically purchase Charlotte Vibes' independent editorial opinion.

Commercial arrangements should not be interpreted as a promise that all future Charlotte Vibes coverage of the advertiser will be favorable.

Advertising Errors and Corrections

Charlotte Vibes may correct, revise, pause, replace, or remove advertising when we become aware of an error, outdated information, expired promotion, legal concern, technical problem, or other issue requiring attention.

Businesses that believe an active advertisement contains a material factual error should contact Charlotte Vibes promptly and identify the advertisement, the information at issue, and the correction requested.

The handling of campaign corrections, make-goods, replacements, credits, refunds, or other commercial remedies may also be governed by any separate written agreement applicable to the campaign.

Separate Advertising Agreements

Specific advertisers may enter into separate written agreements with Reignpoint Media, LLC. Those agreements may address pricing, payment, campaign length, deliverables, creative requirements, usage rights, disclosures, cancellation, approval, reporting, placement, production, and other transaction-specific matters.

This general Advertising Disclosure explains Charlotte Vibes' broad advertising practices and does not replace a specific commercial agreement. Where a valid written agreement expressly establishes different campaign-specific terms, that agreement governs the matters it specifically addresses.

Changes to This Advertising Disclosure

Charlotte Vibes may update this Advertising Disclosure as our advertising practices, business relationships, content formats, technology, platforms, or applicable requirements change. Revised versions will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.

Specific advertisements or sponsored campaigns may also include additional disclosures or terms appropriate to that particular relationship.
