Another Nine Steele Creek Charlotte Grand Opening Date Officially Set

Another New Business for Growing Steele Creek

Steele Creek continues to add new places to shop, stay, eat, and spend time without requiring residents to head toward Uptown or another part of Charlotte. Another Nine adds a different type of entertainment business to that mix, giving golfers a climate-controlled option close to I-485 and the outlet mall.

Another Nine describes the concept as indoor golf built for players of every skill level. Each reservation provides a private simulator suite rather than a shared hitting bay, with Trackman technology providing gameplay, shot tracking, swing data, practice tools, and access to more than 350 virtual courses.

Guests don't need a membership to play. Suites can be reserved by the hour, and the company's automated access system allows customers to book online and receive a unique code used to enter the facility and their private suite.

What Players Can Expect Inside Another Nine

Another Nine's private suites combine the golf simulator with a more social setup. Each suite includes a Trackman iO launch monitor, seating, a television with a sports package, audio, and a mini fridge. Customers can bring outside food and beverages, including their own alcoholic beverages where permitted.

The simulator system includes full-course play, driving ranges, practice scenarios, and mini games. Suites accommodate groups of up to five people, while customers who don't bring clubs can rent them starting at $5.

Founding Membership Rates Are Available Before Opening

Another Nine is already selling founding memberships for Steele Creek. Customers who join before the location opens can keep the lower founding rate as long as they remain members. Billing doesn't begin until the location opens, and the company says the memberships don't require long-term commitments.

Starter members also receive 5% off additional purchases, Pro members receive 10% off, and Elite members receive 15% off. Starter and Pro included hours are redeemable at the member's home location, while Elite benefits can be redeemed across Another Nine locations.

Founding members can also save by choosing longer billing periods. Another Nine lists quarterly founding savings of $396 per year for Starter, $596 per year for Pro, and additional savings for Elite. Annual founding rates are $920 for Starter, $1,440 for Pro, and $2,160 for Elite.

Steele Creek Adds to Another Nine's Charlotte Expansion

Steele Creek won't be the company's only new Charlotte-area opening this fall. Another Nine also lists a Matthews location at 1816 Galleria Boulevard, Suite A, with its current opening schedule set for November 27, about a month after Steele Creek.

The company already operates two locations in the Charlotte region. Its Cornelius facility at 20700 North Main Street was Another Nine's first franchise opening and sits roughly 20 miles north of Charlotte along the I-77 corridor. A second location is open near Concord Mills at 8455 Pit Stop Court NW in Concord, close to Concord-Padgett Regional Airport and about 30 minutes northeast of Uptown Charlotte in lighter traffic.

Another Nine's expansion goes considerably further than those four locations. The company announced in September that the Charlotte metro is already sold out across 12 planned franchise territories, making Charlotte the first fully sold-out market in its franchise network.

Cornelius franchise owner Matt Hess is responsible for the first of five locations he plans to open across Greater Charlotte. Another Nine is also offering franchise territories in other North Carolina markets, including Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Greensboro, Winston-Salem, Asheville, Wilmington, Fayetteville, and several additional cities.

Another Nine Now Has 19 Locations Across Nine States

Another Nine was founded in Cincinnati in 2023 by two dads who wanted an easier way to play more golf. The first location opened in Cincinnati's Columbia-Tusculum neighborhood, and the concept has since expanded through both company-owned and franchised locations.

The company's current location directory includes 19 locations across North Carolina, Ohio, Indiana, South Carolina, Georgia, Illinois, Florida, Texas, and Washington. Seven are already open, while 12 are listed as coming soon.

Every currently open location in the directory operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Steele Creek page also promotes 24/7 automated access, so the new Charlotte facility is expected to follow the same around-the-clock model once it opens.

Steele Creek Owner Saw a Gap in Charlotte's Indoor Golf Market

The Steele Creek location is owned by Kevin Hofer, who moved to Charlotte from the Midwest with his family. Hofer said the ability to play more golf throughout the year was one of the advantages he discovered after relocating to Charlotte, but summer heat and winter cold can still shorten the outdoor season.

That helped shape the decision to bring Another Nine to Steele Creek. The area already gives golfers access to outdoor courses around southwest Charlotte, Lake Wylie, Fort Mill, and surrounding communities, while the new location adds an indoor option that can operate regardless of weather or time of day.

Another Nine Also Gives Back Through Pledge 1%

Community giving has been part of the company since its first reservations. Another Nine participates in Pledge 1%, with the company committing one percent of its profits to organizations serving people in the communities where it operates.

Donations in 2024 and 2025 supported Ronald McDonald House of Cincinnati and the Freestore Foodbank. As the company expands into additional markets, that commitment gives its growing network a community component beyond golf and entertainment.
